A sub domain can enable you to create seperate sub-sites with in your site like site1.yourdomain.com and site2.yourdomain.com that are pointed to a folder with-in your Web site directory. Sub Domains can shorten a long url like www.yourdomain.com/products/webhosting to simply webhosting.yourdomain.com.
